Quantity option: inline price
Overview
For Quantity options using Dropdown or Radio list, you can enable Show price and discount inline. Shoppers then see the product line price for each fixed quantity (and for Custom, when a valid quantity is entered). Amounts use the same rules as the on-page price summary: full calculator configuration at that quantity, including calculator discount and quantity discount tiers when enabled. Order fees and fixed fees are not included on each row (they stay in the summary).
Requirements
- Only the primary quantity option supports this setting — the first quantity option in your calculator’s option list (the one that drives cart quantity for totals).
- Quantity discount tiers (1D or 2D) are optional. If tiers are off, only the price column is shown; there is no savings column.
- On mobile, prices and savings reflow (stack under the label on narrow screens) so the layout does not force horizontal scrolling.
Settings
- Show price and discount inline — Enables per-row price (and savings when tiers apply).
- Inline price display — Total (line amount for that quantity) or Unit (amount ÷ quantity), both excluding order fees.
- Translate — Use the translate control next to the checkbox to localize the “You saved” phrase (
system.summary.inlineYouSaved).
- Tier discounts use the same engine as the summary: implied unit from the line subtotal before calculator discount, then product line = subtotal minus calculator discount minus tier discount.
- Per-choice formula × rate on quantity rows is only one part of the unit stack; inline amounts show the aggregated result at each quantity, not raw formula output alone.
Custom quantity
When Allow custom quantity is on, the Custom row shows live price and savings (with a short debounce while typing). Invalid input shows an em dash until the value is valid.
