Tax configuration is coming soon. Calculator AI currently uses your store's default Shopify tax settings.
Overview
The tax settings section controls how taxes interact with your calculator pricing. By default, Calculator AI uses your Shopify store's standard tax configuration, so taxes are calculated according to your store settings and the customer's location. You can view this section in Calculator Editor → Optional Features → Taxes.
How It Works
No action is needed — Calculator AI uses your Shopify store's default tax settings automatically. Taxes are applied at checkout the same way as for any other product.
When this section is expanded in a future update, you will be able to:
- Use Shopify defaults — Taxes are handled by Shopify based on your store's tax configuration and the customer's location. This is the current behavior.
- Add a custom note — Attach a custom tax note or instruction displayed alongside the calculator pricing.
