Automatic Discounts

Automatic Discounts

Overview

When you set up quantity discount rules in a calculator, Calculator AI applies those discounts automatically in the cart and at checkout. Customers who meet a quantity threshold see the savings on the relevant line item without entering a discount code.

How It Works

  1. You define quantity discount tiers in Calculator Editor → Options & Pricing → Quantity Discount Rules — for example, 10–49 units at 10% off and 50+ units at 20% off.
  2. You publish the calculator.
  3. When a customer adds items with a qualifying quantity, the discount is applied automatically at checkout.
  4. The discount appears on the specific cart line item. Customers see the savings without entering any code.

No additional setup is needed beyond defining the tiers and publishing. Automatic discounts are active as soon as the calculator is published.
