Overview
When a customer configures a product using a Calculator AI calculator and adds it to their cart, the calculated price is applied automatically at checkout. No manual setup or discount codes are needed — the customer is charged the amount computed by your calculator's pricing formulas, regardless of the product's base Shopify price.
How It Works
- A customer fills out the calculator on your product page and clicks Add to Cart.
- Calculator AI saves the customer's selections and the computed price with the cart item.
- At checkout, Calculator AI automatically adjusts the price to match the calculated total.
- The customer is charged the correct amount, and the order includes the customer's option selections for fulfillment.
This process is fully automatic. There is nothing to configure — checkout pricing is active as soon as Calculator AI is installed and your calculator is published.

Examples
- Custom framing — A customer configures a picture frame with specific dimensions and materials. The base Shopify product is priced at $0.00, but the calculator computes $47.50. At checkout, the customer is charged $47.50.
- Bulk stickers — A customer orders 500 custom stickers at a calculated per-unit price. The calculator total is $60.00. At checkout, the line item reflects the $60.00 total.
